EXQUISITE WEDDING MAKEUP DO's and DONT's (contd)
Yesterday, we focused majorly on the do's, but quite frankly, the dont's are equally important and can put major clause on both the pictures and the person on her big day. Here are some carefully analyses tips on what not to do in preparation for the special day.
For your face:
Don't get carried away with shimmer
highlighters or light-refractive makeup. In photos your shimmer can easily turn
into an unflattering and highly reflective shine.
Don't get too much sun before
your wedding. Sunburns, peeling skin and tan lines can sabotage your special
day.
Don't use a heavy pressed powder
to set your foundation. Too much powder can leave your skin looking chalky and
lifeless in your wedding photos.
For your eyes:
Don't use heavy pencils or dark
shadows to define your brows. This can leave you looking stern rather than
stunning.
Don't get too trendy with your
eye makeup. You may think that sparkly eyeliner is a good idea today, but
chances are you’ll look back on it years from now and cringe.
Don't overwhelm your lashes with
too many coats of mascara. Clumpy lashes are a no-no when your groom looks deep
into your eyes.
For your lips and cheeks:
Don't forget to wear blush.
Flash photography can leave you looking washed out.
Don't use a lip liner much
darker than your lipstick to define your lips. This technique looks harsh and
very unnatural in pictures.
Don't wear a lipstick that is
too neutral or frosted. These colors can leave you looking pale or tired.

Also,
DON’T go Blue. “Something blue” may
bring good luck – but not so much around your eyes. “You don’t want eye shadow
that is brighter than the eye color,” ad rather recommends a color that
contrasts the eyes so that they can pop on the big day. “When you walk into the
room, you want the features to stand out – not the makeup.”
DON’T cake it. There are no promises about not getting cake in the face on the big day, but caking should be avoided when it comes to foundation. Many brides want their skin to look flawless and go heavy with foundation, I suggest a skincare regiment before the big day to improve skin. 95 percent of clients can avoid this heavy makeup look. And a skincare regiment will work. A natural look always looks better in pictures and in person.
DON’T do Raccoon Eyes. “Many of our brides misunderstand the term 'raccoon eyes,. "What it actually refers to is the light rings around the eyes from going crazy with concealer.” I suggest using different colors to avoid the circles. “A light salmon or a peach will look much better under the eyes."
DON’T do Glitter. “Many times, our clients will come to get their makeup done after getting their hair done and they’ll be covered in glitter. But what some hair stylists don’t consider is the flash of the cameras." I suggest staying away from using glitter in the hair and on the face to avoid reflections from the flash. “Something not as frosty, like a shimmer will work much better.
About using blue, I have used it several times and it fits.
ReplyDeletebut for using lip liner darker than out lip stick, I second to that
nice mark up tips.
